ROOF CRUSH

When a roof collapses in a crash, it may cause serious injury to the occupants of the vehicle. Injuries might include Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), paralysis, or even death.

NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) creates standards for vehicle roof safety, including minimum criteria such as a cars’ roof to withstand the particular weight and forces of the car. However, these standards can always improve as roof crush injuries and deaths have not stopped since the original standard for vehicle roof strength was set in 1973 by NHTSA.

Roof crush failures can occur due to defective design, improper installations, and low-cost manufacturing techniques. Some crashes, such as rollover crashes can increase the chances of a roof crush, resulting in higher risks of ejection leading to injuries or even fatalities.

If you think you have experienced a roof crush defect do not hesitate to reach out to MLG Attorneys at Law. You may be entitled to receive maximum monetary compensation for your medical expenses, pain and suffering, lost wages, loss of enjoyment of life and other damages.
